Accessibility statement
Last checked:
We want everyone to be able to read and use OAS Guides, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA on every page of this website.
What we have done
- Text is large by default, and you can enlarge it to 200% or more without losing content.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, and a "Skip to main content" link appears first.
- Text and buttons have strong colour contrast.
- Pages use proper headings, lists and labels so screen readers can announce them correctly.
- Eligibility checks work without JavaScript.
- Each page states its language, and Arabic, Persian and Urdu pages read right to left.
- We test pages with an automated checker (axe) and by hand with a keyboard.
Known limitations
- Some translations have not yet been reviewed by a native speaker, so some wording may be unclear.
- Pages not yet translated into your language are shown in English.
- Payment is handled on a page run by Stripe, our payment provider. We do not control how accessible that page is.
- Downloadable PDF guides are still being prepared. We will check each one for accessibility before we sell it.
